Effective study methods
We have so many effective study methods such as active recall , interleaving (mixing some subjects while studying) , the podomoro technique , the Feynman Technique , the SQ3R method
Active recall:
Instead of passively reading our notes , we can test our ourselves by practicing mock questions and previous question papers.
Interleaving:
Mixing of some subjects while studying . Reviewing material at some time intervals gives some relief.
The Podomoro Method:
Study in focused , short bursts of time , for example 25 minutes called "podomoros" followed by short breaks . This strategy helps maintain focus .
The Feynman Technique (teach to learn):
Try to simplify and explain a concept in your own words , as if teaching for a 5 yearsold child . This reveals gaps in understanding and you can then go back to clarify those points .
The SQ3R Method:
This reading technique involves surveying the material , Questioning yourself , Reading to find answers , Reflecting on what you have learned and Reciting or summarising the information
